Looking back, we can sometimes see connections that were impossible to recognize while we were living through them.
A conversation planted an idea. An attempt taught us something useful. A delay gave us time to grow.
In the middle of it, though, we may have felt completely lost.
We want the full picture. God often asks us to trust Him with the part we can see.
Proverbs 3:5–6 calls us to trust the Lord, acknowledge Him, and resist depending entirely on our own understanding. That can be difficult when our understanding is exactly what we’re waiting for.
Sometimes we’re still catching up to what God is doing. We’re learning, asking questions, working through doubts, and discovering the next step.
That doesn’t mean every disappointment will make sense later. Some questions remain unanswered. But God’s knowledge and care extend beyond what we can currently explain.
You can ask for wisdom, seek good counsel, and take a faithful step without having the whole future settled.
Maybe today’s step is making a call, finishing something small, asking for help, or giving a decision more prayerful attention.
Stand on this today: God knows what you cannot see yet. You can trust Him as you take the next step.
What is one step you can take with the understanding you have today?
